Meet Our New Club President: Chi Okafor
 
 
We’re thrilled to welcome Chi Okafor as the new President of the Rotary Club of North Creek for 2025–2026. Chi is a proven leader who stepped up during a pivotal year of transition, serving simultaneously as both President and President-Elect in 2024–2025. With a distinguished background in nonprofit leadership, corporate strategy, and education, Chi brings a bold vision, unwavering dedication, and a service-driven mindset to the role. Her dynamic leadership, forward-thinking approach, and deep-rooted commitment to Rotary’s mission position our club for a year of meaningful growth, impact, and renewed purpose.

Looking Ahead: Focus for the New Year
 
Under new leadership, our focus this year includes:
  • Expanding local impact through family- and community-centered events
  • Raising awareness of critical issues like human trafficking prevention
  • Engaging youth through mentorship and leadership-building opportunities
  • Reaching more people through improved marketing and community presence
  • Strengthening club culture with fresh energy and new member involvement
Club Goals for 2025–2026
 
We’re aiming high this year with goals to:
  • Grow club membership by 20% through outreach and engagement
  • Increase local visibility via social media, press, and community presence
  • Re-engage former members with renewed opportunities for connection
  • Launch at least 3 new service initiatives that reflect current community needs
  • Partner with local schools and organizations for youth service and education

Community Dog Walk: Tails & Trails
 
Date: Saturday, August 2026
Location: McCullum Park / North Creek Trail
Time: Morning
 
North Creek Rotary Club is hosting our first-ever “Tails & Trails” Dog Walk to raise funds for local animal shelters. Bring your four-legged friends and join us for a morning of wagging tails, fresh air, fitness, and neighborly fun! Don’t have a dog? No problem - borrow a friends and walk to support a great cause. There will be treats for pups and humans alike, and a prize for “Best Dressed Dog.”

Supports Local Animal Shelters with food, medical care, and adoption support
Promotes Healthy Living through outdoor activity for families and pets
Builds Community Bonds in a fun, casual, and pet-friendly environment
Encourages Volunteerism for people of all ages

Daddy-Daughter Dance: A Night to Remember
 
Date: Spring 2026
Location: Everett School
Time: Early Evening
 
A heartwarming evening filled with music, laughter, and memory-making. Dads, uncles, grandpas, grab your dancing shoes! Everyone is welcome to share a special night with the girls who look up to them. This heartwarming evening includes dinner, dancing, keepsake photos, and sweet memories that will last a lifetime. Tickets are $25 per couple, $10 per additional daughter.
 
Proceeds benefit school youth programs.

Community Workshop
Understanding & Preventing Sex Trafficking
 
Date: Winter 2025
Location: Everett School
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Admission: FREE and open to the public
 
Taking a Stand: Rotary & Anti-Sex Trafficking Education
This fall, our club is taking steps to raise awareness and provide education on human trafficking prevention. We are proud to partner with a several Rotary Clubs to bring vital information to schools, parents, and professionals on how to spot signs of trafficking and support survivors. We’re proud to host this powerful and informative session  to help our community become part of the solution.

Teaches How to Spot Red Flags in schools, workplaces, and online
Empowers Bystanders to Act and report potential trafficking cases
Supports Survivors through community-based resources
